Zhenzhi Tang, Chair

Chair Zhenzhi Tang was appointed in June 2022. He has served on the board for 5 cumulative years. He served CSR as Vice Principal from 2016 to 2018 and Principal from 2018 to 2020.
He is a scientist with Department of Neurology, University of Rochester Medical Center.
Ying Gao, Vice Chair
Ying Gao has served on CSR board of directors and school committees for over 20 years in various positions including as Principal, Vice Principal, and Headteacher.
She is currently a software engineer with Corning Inc. and previously with Kodak and Xerox. She is the mother of two CSR alumni.
Jingcheng Liu, Treasurer
Treasurer Jingcheng Liu was appointed in June 2022. He has served on the board for 4 cumulative years. He served as CSR Vice Principal from 2018 to 2020 and Principal from 2020 to 2022.
He is a principal software engineer with Esri.
Chao Xie, Member
Chao Xie joined the board as a member in July 2023. Prior to this, he served the community in various capacities. He was the Co-Chair from 2009 to 2010 and later served as the Chair from 2010 to 2011 of the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). Additionally, he was a Board Member from 2012 to 2015 at the Chinese School of Rochester (CSR). Besides his community involvement, Chao Xie is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Zichao Wang, Member
Wang Zichao graduated from the University of Charleston in South Carolina and the University of Rochester with a major in Biochemistry-Toxicology. I lived and worked in Rochester since 2010 and now lives in the Webster area. I worked as an elective math teacher in a Chinese school from 2012 to 14. I am very happy to have the opportunity again Serving the Rochester Chinese Community.
Jack C. Glasgow, Member
Jack C. Glasgow was appointed to the Board in July 2023. He is concurrently serving as CSR’s Director of Partnerships with the vision and duty to bring the greater community closer together. He is also a commissioned US Army officer and veteran, and a member of the Rochester Rotary Club.
In his professional capacity, Jack is a Senior Manager at L3Harris Technologies leading business and tech strategy. He worked as a management consultant in the Silicon Valley, before taking residence in Pittsford. He holds a joint MBA from HEC Paris and Tsinghua University in collaboration with MIT; a Master of Information and Cybersecurity from UC Berkeley; and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Zhiheng Xu, Member
I proudly earned my Bachelor's degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2010, and further enhanced my academic journey by obtaining a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the illustrious Illinois Institute of Technology in 2011. My pursuit of excellence led me to complete my doctoral studies at the esteemed University of Connecticut in 2017. In 2019, I embarked on a new chapter by relocating from the picturesque landscapes of Connecticut to the vibrant Rochester area.
At present, I hold a role within the AMPrint Center at RIT, where my scholarly endeavors are dedicated to the cutting-edge realm of 3D printing. With a particular focus on electrode fabrication and applications, I am passionately contributing to the forefront of technological innovation, leveraging my expertise to unlock new horizons in this dynamic field.
Board Meeting Minutes
6/4/2022 Board meeting. The CSR Principal Jingcheng Liu proposed to increase the hourly pay for the teachers volunteering in CSR. The hour pay for CSR teachers will be increased by $5 in addition to their basic payment. This proposal was passed on June 4th 2022 with the approval from all board members.
5/29/2022 Board meeting. The CSR school board and committee members gathered at Thornell Farm Park for farewell party for CSR Board Chair Mr. Shaohua Liu. Shaohua had served as the CSR board Chair from 2019 to 2022, the CSR Principal from 2016 to 2018, and many years of board in CSR.
The school board members who attended the meetings were: Shaohua Liu, Zhenzhi Tang, Ying Gao, and Qin Xu. The school committee who attended the meeting were: Jingcheng Liu, Xiaodong Mi, Shan Feng and Zhemin Zhang.
The board members discussed the coming semester which starts in September, and
1) decided all the language and culture classes shall be resumed in face-to-face lesson in classrooms
2) to expand the folk dancing classes and youth choir class which are not practical in online teaching during Covid-19 pandemic
3) the board also planned to elect more people to serve as board members in the coming semester
